Over the last several years, many great foreign zombie movies have come out, which are a nice change of pace from traditional American zombie films. We’d like to highlight a few of our favorites. If you’re a horror film, we’ve also posted our 6 Must See French Horror Films.

#1 [REC]
If you’ve seen Quarantine, this is the Spanish original. There is also a sequel, REC 2. This is a wonderful grainy, shaky, first person horror.
#2 28 Days Later
A new zombie classic set in London after a viral outbreak.
#3 28 Weeks Later
Not nearly as great at 28 Days Later, but the first 15 minutes are stellar. After the opening scene, it gets Americanized fairly quick, but the start is worth the watch.
#4 Dead Alive
Out of New Zealand, Dead Alive is a comedy horror classic. A must see for any zombie fan.
#5 Dead Snow
Nazi zombies. Think that says enough.
#6 Fido
Cute, funny, zombie film about a boy who wands to keep his zombie friend as part of the family.
#7 Shaun of the Dead
Easily one of the best zombie films of all times. It gets everything right from satire to horror. This is about as close to perfect as you can come. An absolute must see zombie movie.
