In Italy, just like in the U.S., you can find TV channels for news, sports, women's programs, home shopping, sitcoms, dramas, music, food, movies and more. Italian television is dominated by six main state-owned stations, and Italia 1, Canale 5 and Rete 4, which are privately owned.

As the name suggests, dance music. This is very popular with the younger crowd. The channel doesn't feature much besides constant music.
Sport

Onda TV is dedicated entirely to sports. This is the video channel of the radio station Radio Onda, from Venice.

The Sky movie channel. It features 400 exclusives per year, and is one of the only places to find foreign movies in the original language, since most of Italy shows their foreign movies dubbed.

This is the Tuscan TV station. Teletruria is great for local programs and news, with many of them available on demand.
