About the Scholarship Program

We are excited to announce the Annual Stroll Foreign Language Study Scholarship Program. Sponsored by Stroll, this scholarship is in honor of renowned linguist and language educator, Dr. Paul Pimsleur. In honor of his commitment to language-study research, this award will help make language and culture more accessible to American college students.

Pimsleur believed in cultural exploration as a lifetime pursuit and that effective communication needn't be cost-prohibitive. This scholarship opportunity can help provide an immersive experience consistent with Pimsleur's mission to take language learning out of the classroom and into the world.

Eligible students include those pursuing an undergraduate college degree in the study of languages at a four year college/university, or those planning to study abroad, irrespective of major/minor. The Scholarship provides $2,000 directly to the awardee for one academic year. The award is for one year per winner. Awardees must maintain at least a "B" or higher grade point overall.

The winner will be selected by a panel of management executives at Stroll on the basis of:

  • Technical writing ability
  • Creativity
  • Level of inspiration

The winner will be notified by November 30th, 2011.
